What Makes a Warehouse Deal?

How we plan to distinguish ordinary merchant offers from future subscriber deals, sponsored promotions, and exclusive brand campaigns.

Not every sale banner deserves to be called a special deal. Our goal for Warehouse Deals is to create a distinct area for offers that are unusually relevant, time-sensitive, exclusive, or directly supported by a participating brand.

At launch, deals may include merchant promotions surfaced through approved affiliate programs or discounts on non-regulated products sold through the Warehouse store. As the audience grows, we intend to pursue subscriber-only promotions, limited brand drops, and negotiated campaigns.

Sponsored promotions should be clearly labeled. A paid placement can still be useful to visitors, but it should not be disguised as an independent editorial selection. We want members to be able to tell the difference between a normal product listing, an affiliate offer, and a sponsored campaign.

Deal alerts are also intended to reduce noise. Instead of emailing constantly, the long-term goal is to send meaningful updates when there is a strong reason for a subscriber to pay attention.
