How AR15 Parts Warehouse Handles Product Data

How our catalog is designed to separate canonical product information from changing merchant prices, inventory, and offers.

A product can appear at multiple merchants with different titles, prices, images, and internal SKUs. Our catalog architecture is designed to avoid treating each merchant listing as a completely different product.

We create a canonical product record and connect merchant offers beneath it. Matching can use identifiers such as UPC or GTIN, manufacturer part numbers, brand names, and normalized model information. When confidence is low, the record can be routed for manual review rather than silently merged.

Prices and inventory are treated as changing offer data, not permanent product attributes. This allows the product page to remain stable while merchant information is refreshed. It also makes it possible to identify stale offers and remove them without deleting the underlying product.

We believe this separation creates a cleaner research experience and makes disclosures easier to understand. Merchant data is still subject to change, so the merchant's current page always controls the final price, availability, shipping, and transaction terms.
